Seattle In 2011 Bid

Join us in the Emerald City for the 69th World Science Fiction Convention! Cascadia fandom, under the auspices of SWOC, is bidding to host the 2011 Worldcon in Seattle, to celebrate the golden anniversary of Seacon, the 1961 Worldcon. We plan to use the Washington State Convention and Trade Center and adjacent hotels over the 2011 Labor Day Weekend(31 August - 04 September).

Our theme is "Welcome to today, yesterdays tomorrow, and a future yet to come". We will explore the possibilities, and ask ourselves “What if”. It is a unique opportunity to look forward through the eyes of such literary greats as Jules Verne & H.G. Wells, to what might have been, and then to look ahead through todays great luminaries to what is a limitless future.
